Our Class Behavior Plan
Our classroom will use a clip chart to monitor behavior. A clip chart is a great tool that allows students to be rewarded for positive behavior, while discouraging negative behavior. Each student has a clothespin with their name on it. Everyone starts with "Ready to Learn" at the beginning of each day and the clips can be moved up and down throughout the day based on a behavior.
The "Pink" Excellent behavior is reserved for outstanding behavior. A student who reaches this level will get a special note home.
The "Purple" Great behavior students can move to the excellent for continuing to display good behavior. You should be very proud of your child for reaching this
level.
The "Green" Good Behavior: can move to great behavior for displaying good behavior.
The "Blue" Ready to learn. Every student begins on this level
The Red" spoke to student about a negative behavior that was exhibited.
The" Orange" continued display of negative behavior student will have to think about it. Consequences will be applied
The "Red" parent contact Teacher will notify parent via note or phone call. A visit to the principal's office might also be in order.
Any student who cannot act appropriately using this plan will be placed on an individual behavior plan that works for them. In addition each day the student will report an color representing their day in the agenda.
I expect your child to be on blue everyday. Pink will be awarded when deserved and not a daily thing. This system will be taught to your child in class and there will be supports in place to ensure your child is reporting the correct color.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
