- I was born and raised in the United States Virgin Islands.
- I attended the University of the Virgin Islands where I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education. I later attended the Universidad del Turabo in Puerto Rico and obtained my Masters degree in English as a Second Language (ESOL).
- I am a certified teacher in the U.S. Virgin Islands and in the state of Florida.
